Awqaf Introduces Al-Aqsa Mosque Ramadan Plan

IQNA – The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs announced an integrated plan to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the holy city of al-Quds.

According to Hala News, the ministry announced the implementation of the integrated plan for Ramadan in Al-Aqsa Mosque, which includes religious, service and health measures to ensure the comfort of worshipers and facilitate the performance of rituals.

In this regard, the Al-Quds Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department said in a statement that holding the call to prayer, holding religious lessons and observing the rituals of the Night of Qadr, opening all mosques affiliated with the Awqaf in the Old City and allocating a number of them for accommodation are part of this plan.

The department also highlighted implementing comprehensive maintenance operations on infrastructure and electrical networks and installing awnings and tents to protect worshipers from weather conditions and increasing health preparedness through field clinics and ambulances in coordination with the competent authorities.

The department emphasized intensifying security, organizing the entry of worshipers, preparing daily cleaning and sanitation teams, and supporting security personnel to serve pilgrims at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Meanwhile, the “Khasaki Sultan” foundation continues to prepare and distribute daily iftar meals to about 300 al-Quds families and provide suhoor and iftar meals to the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Al-Quds Zakat Committee is strengthening its support for poor families and orphans during the holy month of Ramadan.
